As you all know, I am Juanita Daigle and I now live in Florida but my roots
are all from Maine, Oxford, Cumberland and York Counties. Some of my
Ancestors were from Hiram and my Grandfather lived in Hiram for many
years. This is a beautiful area and the people there are wonderful.
So when I decided to host a town for USGenWeb I chose "Hiram". I hope
you enjoy this NEW website as much as I enjoyed creating it..... Please feel
free to email me with any corrections, additions or comments on this
site. If you have pictures of cemeteries, old pictures or just great
views of Hiram and would like to see them here please contact me.
And,,, to all those who have donated pictures, THANK YOU, I will get
them all up as soon as I can.
HOW TO
NAVIGATE THIS
NEW SITE AND HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FEATURE.
Cemeteries:
Click on
"Products", NO they are not for sale but this is the only way that the
database would work the way I wanted it to. Then select the next
category (ie: Cemeteries) ... Then go to any of the individual
cemeteries. OR, now for the great part, go to "SEARCH"
and type in a name (first and last or surname only). If the you see "Sorry,
info only, no image" then there are no photos (yet) but
you will still find information.
If you see the camera icon below then there are images.
Click on the "image" or "Details" and once in
the details section you will see a name highlighted (John
Thompson)
which means there is no image but if the name is linked (Jonathan
Wentworth,)
clicking this link will take you to the image BUT use your browsers back
button to return to the "details"
section. And don't forget that you can easily email a friend
when you find information. At the bottom of each "detail"
page is "email
friend",
just click there and fill in the information.
